How to choose and apply the write cologne.
Every man that takes care of himself likes to smell good and wearing a good cologne will help smell great and feel fresh trough out the day. Most people think that all it takes for that is to find a nice scent, spray and hit the road. This idea could not be further from the truth. Here are some steps to help you choose the perfect cologne for you and some tips on how to wear it. Remember that the fragrance you chose should always complement your personality and your state of mind. Here are the categories and some examples.
FRESH COLOGNES: have a nice greenery and citrus smell to them and favor guys who are intensely goal-oriented while being quite easy going. · Lacoste Essential, Calvin Klein Escape, Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio Pour Homme
AROMATIC COLOGNES: contain fruity and spicy scents that help accentuate guys with sophisticated styles and the ability to make everything around them seem cool. · Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme, Calvin Klein Eternity For Men, Davidoff Cool Water
WOODY COLOGNES: work great for strong leaders with the tendency to nurture and listen to those around them. · Cartier Must Pour Homme, John Varvatos Vintage, Valentino Valentino V Pour Homme.
Applying Cologne
The best time to apply your cologne is after a shower before you’ve put on your shirt. Spray the cologne into the air and walk into it. If you’re already dressed, the back of your neck and wrist areas are your next best bet since they naturally diffuse more scent then the rest of your body. Never spray cologne on your clothes.
Remember that hotter it gets the more intense the scents from your cologne will be, especially when combined with your sweat. Go lighter in the summer, and heavier in the winter. Oilier skins tend to amplify the scents a bit, so take it easy.
How much is enough
One or two spritzes are enough. Don’t douse yourself in the stuff. “If you’re constantly smelling the fragrance, you’ve applied too much.” says Rochelle Bloom, president of the Fragrance Foundation. She or he should be pretty close to you before she gives you the “ahhh you smell nice” line, and becomes weak in the knees.
Don’t Mix Scents
Unless you want to confuse or repulse him or her with a potpourri of scents, don’t mix scented lotions or aftershaves with your cologne. If you do, be sure they’re compatible and compliment each other.
If you can, try to have always a feel options since our state of mind changes as well as the the situations. Try to have enough options to suit these changes, plus wearing the same cologne everyday is boring and it may end up making you sick to you stomach.

New N light laser treatment to get rid of wrinkles. FOREVER! The solution for botox biggest problem, having to come back for more and pay for it!
This new ground braking technology was introduced to me a few days ago. My new friend and beauty god plastic surgeon Babak Azizzadeh, M.D. told me about the wonders of it. To sum it up it’s a low-level laser treatment that works deep inside the skin where the wrinkles begin and not on the surface where traditional laser treatment does. The immediate outcome is a skin with no irritation, burns, etc. Therefore is a very casual procedure (it can be done on your lunch break). The following two weeks is when the magic happens. The N light laser stimulates the production of new collagen (70% of the skin is made out of it). This new collagen is healthy, thicker, non-fragmented and it fills in and replaces old collagen where wrinkles existed. He showed me a study with pictures taken everyday after the procedure I was stunned by the results and the skin’s improvement every 24 hours. He also told me that this is the most satisfying procedure for patients that he performs, and I so believe that.
It takes minimum 2 and maximum 6 visits to the doctor to wipe the wrinkles out (don’t you love the way that sounds?). It all depends on how severe your wrinkles are. The price for each visit to Dr.Azizzabeh is $170 but he is located in Beverly Hills. You don’t have to pay celebrity prices; regardless of your location you can feel like one, just check with the plastic surgeons and dermatologists in you area.

Botox, the perfect anti-aging prevention and maybe a new men’s best friend. Guys don’t be afraid of the needle.
We all heard about botox and it’s appeal for people trying to turn back mother’s nature clock but also for people looking to stop it. But what is botox and how does it work? This might surprise all the guys that thought botox is for sissies. It is actually the most toxic substance known to men. It so potent that one-teaspoon of the substance can kill up to 1.2 billion people. WOW! Botox is a chemical compound extracted from snake poison and like snakebite it paralyzes the muscles. Its cosmetic/medical use is when you inject it in nano doses to paralyze specific muscles in your body. The result is muscles that don’t contract and therefore don’t form expression lines on the skin. If you don’t have them botox should most definitely be considered if you intend to be wrinkle free. Men’s facial muscles are stronger then women and wrinkles are usually formed in men latter in life. The write time to use botox as an anti-aging prevention method is when you start seeing the first signs that wrinkles are being formed. If you already have wrinkles and you want them gone (at least momentarily) the needle can help you. You can easily look up to 10 years younger after this procedure which is done quickly (you can get it during your lunch break), almost painless and leave no marks except a few red dots that you get right after the injection and they diminish in couple of hours. You will notice results after one week of the treatment and full results after two weeks, it will last from 3 to 6 months. For lasting results the procedure should be repeated every 6 months for best results or at least once a year.
All fabulous guys out there, lets create the first wrinkle free generation! The needle is our friend and she does magic.

Simple home made cosmetics, how to transform your refrigerator in your fountain of youth. Try for yourself!
This past week I met a lady that should be studied by science. She is a 65 years old Caucasian woman that looks like 40. I asked her what was her secret and I was amazed by her answer. She said, “ I use a mix of Olive Oil, Coconut Oil and mashed avocado as a moisturizer. I use a fluffed egg white on my face for a mask. I follow it with steam on my face with coco butter and steam over that. Spray Aloe Vera that you have kept in the fridge to close your pours afterward. I use mayonnaise with heat from a hair dryer to moisturize my hair. I use Chamomile Tea and lemon juice to keep my hair looking sun kissed.
The tea bad that I would normally discard I put in the fridge and then on my eyes to reduce puffiness. I also use olive oil 3 times a week all over my body for moisture”
Now there is no excuse if you look busted. I am not sure if this lady is just lucky or her beauty routine really works but all I know is that she looks like $1,000,000 and she doesn’t spend not an extra cent for it.
I am trying her routine and I will keep the results posted. Anyone want to join me?

2009 fall runway season wrap up – Fashion industry challenged by economic crisis, finally creativity is worth more than luxury… VIVE LA CRISE!
First of all I want to apologize to the readers of this blog for the time taken for this wrap up I was on economic crisis Holidays, in Brazil… Amazing!!!!
Anyway… It is obvious that designers have the world crisis in mind (specially the Italian designers). Cotton is the fabric of the moment and it’s incredible what you can do with it. LV and Lanvin mad full use of it (their entire collection were made of it).
Fall 2009 is all about the accessories to make you look like luxury. Don’t spend too much on your clothes instead spend it on bags, shoes, hats, sunglasses, jewellery, etc. Dig out your old stuff, layer it and just through a bag (a big one), army boots and a cool Salvation Army hat and you are on, by the way oversize and homeless chick is back so if yo have the eye and the patience Salvation Army could be your new fashion tample... or any vintage stuff. Layers, layers...
In 2009 is all about creativity, so it is up to you to make it work. Remember that style has no budget. You can make it or break it. How exciting is that… Make it happen boys and VIVE LA CRISE !!!

Milan 2009 fall collections. Dolce & Gabbana, SEXY + CHICK…as always.
So the runway season for fall 2009 is over, and my endless search for the hottest collections ends as well. UFFFFF!!! I saw them all and the collections I posted have my name written all over them… I just wish I had the money…
Last but never least, Dolce & Gabbana. How they do it is amazing to me, they are able to come out with HUGE collections for both men and women every single season, and it was not different this time.
They use and abuse of the return of black (I was getting a little bored to see guys wearing hot pink), with perfectly tailored garments and those begs OMG! I would trade my mother for one of those (kidding : ) The tie is getting skinnier and more sophisticated.
The men portrait by Dolce & Gabbana is powerful and flawless, my only criticism is the amount of alligator leather, it looks hot but fake is way hotter. Poor little gators.

Milan 2009 fall collections. Alexander McQueen, can you handle it?
Without a doubt one of the most dearing designers of our times, McQueen brings a collection full of mystery and a big statement “ I am not for everyone!”
This time McQueen put together a wearable collection (it was about time) and he left the art for the make up artists and models, which embodied the “phantom of the opera” vibe gracefuly.
Still you need a lot of personality and character to rock these looks with attitude and not look like a full. SOMETIMES THE CLOTHES DO NOT MAKE THE MEN!

Paris 2009 fall collections. LANVIN redefines the suit… With punk boots to go along with it.
It might be to early in the year to say “oh god! I can’t wait for fall” since its February and my ass still frozen. Looking at the 2009 fall collections are driving me CRAZY! I want it all. This runway season has showed to be a quite innovative in terms of menswear. The creative bug is biting ferociously.
LANVIN designers were bitten in the butt. They came out with suits with baggy pants tucked in punk boots that come up to the knees. Wow! That’s new! How refreshing. They also forgot about the tie and made full usage of gorgeous thin silk scarves that adds a great touch of color and luxury. This collection defines the Parisian men with all the “blaze” and sophistication that you may expect to find. LOVE IT!

2009 New York Fashion Week fall collections, Diesel Black Gold I WANT IT, I WANT IT, I WANT IT
OMG! Homeless chick is back with a vengeance and with a super oversized bag to go along with it. Diesel’s newest line Black Gold brings Diesel to another level outside the jeans department.
The idea is LAYERS of unmatching sizes of garments that give that grungy kind of look but at the same time with super original style. It’s very easy to walk in many of this fashion stores a leave looking like $ 1,000,000, difficult is to get out of your comfort zone, wear things that do not make sense and still rock it like a super star. For that you need to know how to carry on, and style is not enough you must have talent. Have you got it? If you say yes then you should rock it, Black Gold is for you.

Paris 2009 fall collections. Luis Vuitton Menswear... UH LA LA !
When I grow up I want to have so much money that I get to live 24 hours in Louis Vuitton clothes. Marc Jacobs defined masculinity, sobriety and most of all LUXURY in his latest men's collection. If I see a guy walking like this on the street I swear to God I will stop and start clapping.
The personality of Vuitton's menswear has taken shape somewhere between traditional luxury (like the mink coat shaved into the LV Damier check, or that alligator) and a technological take on same (like a cloque blouson in nylon rather than silk, or a jacket in a shimmering nylon and wool moiré). Helbers struck his most successful balance yet between the two, but the collection could still do with a healthy shot of the playful spirit that his boss Marc Jacobs seems to bring so effortlessly to Vuitton's womenswear.
